Coachella Weekend 1 was too lit!!
JK I wasn’t there, and probably never will be until I’ve been working a steady job for a few years, or if I win the lottery, or win a contest, or if I find $500 in the middle of the street. But it’s okay, because with social media, Coachella has become the most overrated music festival what with everyone liveblogging, livetweeting, livestreaming, etc. their experiences that really, there isn’t much that you can say you missed.
That being said, music festivals like Coachella have also brought us some of the coolest style from cool people and it’s no doubt become a type of aesthetic that people try to emulate and that big brands like H&M and Hollister have tried to capitalize on by releasing festival-inspired collections for the summer. And not gonna lie to you, I’m a sucker for festival street style. It makes me feel like I’ve got something cool going on in my life.
So with this outfit, my sister and I tried to take an aggregation of what kinds of trends have popped out from Coachella over the last few years and put it together, and because we’re losers, we did an impromptu photoshoot in our backyard. Because we’re losers.
Whatever though, because we looked cute and my sister made an adorable video with clips of us laughing and posing and looking like we did just spend a weekend in the desert partying and seeing Brendon Urie collab with Halsey.
And if the neighbors saw us fake laughing and frolicking around our back lawn as if the hills were alive, well then, we’ll just have to pretend it didn’t happen.
